Oliver Darbyshire is a computational engineering specialist with experience in both the application and development of Computational Fluid Dynamics and acoustics software in the aerospace and maritime sectors. Following a PhD in the numerical simulation of combustion funded by Rolls-Royce Jet Engines, Oliver worked at the Met Office developing analysis and visualisation tools for high-resolution climate modelling. In 2012 Oliver joined BAE Systems Advanced Technology Centre working in the Computational Engineering group where he lead the team delivering CFD and acoustic support to the Successor programme. He has also contributed to the Type 26 programme as well as NATO research groups on maritime CFD and aero-acoustics. Oliver is the Aero Design Labs Lead CFD Engineer, specialising in the application of advanced simulation methods for super-high fidelity aerodynamic analysis.
